A Naperville, IL woman was pulled over for failing to signal. A simple traffic stop took a horrible turn when the situation escalated as seen on video.
Three days after this arrest, Sandra Bland was found dead in jail. What happened in that jail? Initial reports are that she died by what appears to be self-inflicted asphyxiation; however her family and friends find that impossible to believe and are now searching for answers and for justice.
Sandra Bland had just moved to Texas from Illinois. Her family says she was and activist for change and excited to start a new job in student outreach at her alma mater, Prairie View A&M University, in Waller County.
