Six-year-old girl forcibly taken from her loving, protective mother whose financial reserves have been decimated by abusive family court litigation.

They have a very strong case for Appeal, but the journey to Appellate Court is a costly, very labor-intensive undertaking, and they cannot take this next step without funds for the retainer.

Mother is at this point praying for a miracle, forced to appeal to the kindness of strangers to help her fundraise for legal costs.

The facts:

Her little girl disclosed severe physical and sexual assault at the hands of her father, to her mother, to her school social worker and to two counselors, who appropriately reported the abuse to the authorities, and requested expert assessment. An independent chief pediatrician child abuse expert testified in family court that her clinical diagnosis and professional opinion was that the child was being sexually assaulted and physically assaulted by her father, and recommended No Contact for the child's safety.

Father is a high-functioning professional with an extensively-documented history of psychiatric hospitalizations, suicidality, psychosis, pathological lying, animal torture and child abuse. He was previouly criminally charged with child endangerment. Father has family connections to local attorneys and social workers, who assisted him in an aggressive smear campaign against his former wife, and his manipulation and exploitation of our defective family court system. 

Mother, a gentle and well-respected Sunday School teacher experienced traumatic shock from the abusive litigation and her daughter's disclosures, but has no history of psychiatric illness nor of child abuse. Daughter has been a model pupil, beloved by her teachers and classmates, with no behavioral nor mental health issues. Yet the custody evaluator, who was hired and paid for by the father, ignored expert testimony and forensic findings, neglected to review key medical reports and interviews (was "unable to open the flashdrives" provided), and shockingly fabricated groundless "diagnoses," for both mother and little child, of "shared delusions and psychosis," and recommended immediate transfer of sole custody to father, with virtually no visitation for mother.

The evaluator's standardized psychological testing tools revealed mother to have no mental health deviances, but revealed father to be in the category of people who are suicidal and angry. 

Last week, the Family Court Judge ignored the overwhelming evidence showing the father to be a dangerous predator and abuser and granted him sole custody of the traumatized little girl, with severely restricted contact for mother, on condition that both mother and daughter agree that father has never abused the child!

Judge then placed the tormented mother under a total gag order in order to ensure cover-up of his unconsionable ruling.

Tragically, gag orders and rulings  awarding custody to highly litigational abusive fathers, are commonplace in today's dysfunctional family courtrooms. The traumatic impact on the child is devastating, and the danger she now faces in the hands of her abuser is causing her mother sleepless nights. 

Witnesses report that the little girl, severed from her mother, appears to be in great distress, and is now showing clear-cut signs of traumatic abuse and symptoms of depression. 

The child is crying herself to sleep every night. Her repeated questions about why her Mama suddenly went away go unanswered. 

Mama is tirelessly working with her attorneys to right this wrong. But her resources are depleted and she is in debt to her family and friends. Please help us help her persevere in her fight for the Appellate Court to do what is RIGHT!
