Hi, my name is Kristin and pleading for help is awful, but my kids and I lost our home and everything in it to a fire in March 2016. Seven months later; the unthinkable happened. The homeowner, Rich Moss, was arrested for felony residential arson. NO, he did NOT start his dream home on fire. The utility room where it started, held all of his Dad’s belongings (photo albums, home videos, slides, journals). Wouldn’t you remove irreplaceable items from your home if you were going to do such a thing?
There is no physical evidence, he has no criminal record, no motive, and spent more than a decade of his professional career helping fire districts with health insurance (his niche).
They claim Rich used a lighter to start a mattress on fire. Mattresses are fire retardant (we tested this, it is NOT possible) not without an accelerator (no accelerators were found). His fingerprints were NOT on the lighter and the basement was being rented out to a man that filled the room to the point one could not enter it.
It is clear that Rich needs a Jury trial. This would cost $2500. Money raised would also be used to hire a fire expert.
The contractor Wells Fargo hired to “seal” up the house, came with a moving truck and stole everything out of our home. There is clear evidence of this felony burglary, but police have done NOTHING. No arrests were ever made. Insurance and Wells Fargo denied the claims, despite Wells Fargo being the only ones with access to the home.
We spent our life savings and sweat-equity upgrading the house. Retirement accounts have now been depleted trying to start-over, provide some sense of normalcy for my kids and hiring a defense attorney.
Any and all funds will be re-paid.
