Writers Against Abusive Publisher

We are a group of writers fighting against a publisher to get our book rights back and be paid for the royalties they owe us.
The publisher (Editorial LXL), has not fulfilled many aspects of the contract: our books are not in libraries, we haven't been paid for the units sold, we haven't had any marketing... Also, according to the Spanish law, the contract is abusive for us, the writers. We have already spent around 2.000 € in lawyers trying to recover the rights, but the publisher won't allow it, they want to keep them for the 5 years the contract establishes. So we have to go to trial, and we need help to raise enough money to pay our lawyer and the court fees, at least 12.000 €.Thank you for your support.

Harassed by German government agency

Protect free speech
My Asian daughter and I are seeking financial assistance to cover the legal costs for a good lawyer to file a suit against the German government agency Jobcenter Munich. We are being harassed and persecuted by the Jobcenter Munich and the court in Munich because I write a critical blog about the JC. They want this blog purged. In October 2015 armed police confiscated ALL our IT equipment (the second time after 2013). It was planned to body search my daughter and to seize her smart phone as well. Fortunately, she was in school.
In one case we had to file a constitutional complaint with the Constitutional Court which alone cost us euro 650. The CC aacepts just 2-3% of all cases filed in a year!
The JC Munich and the Munich court jointly want us financially ruined and my Asian daughter out of high school. All our complaints against the JC have been rejected by the Munich prosecutor. We have absolutely no trust in Bavarian courts as they resemble more of a kangaroo court and intend to have this case in another state in Germany.
We guarantee full disclosure of fund disbursements via public spreadsheet on Google Drive together with bills.

Help bringing home Daddy

I am struggling to come up with the lawyer retainer fee that will get my husband home. We have three kids. The youngest is 5 (daddy's girl) and she is lost without daddy. We are normal everyday hard working people. My husband works in the elevator Union and has for 15years. We have been fighting a case for over a year now. The lawyers will get him out of jail once I come up with the retainer fee. He has been gone since November 19, 2015.

Without him home, we have no income and we are struggling to keep food on the table with him not home.

STOP DISCRIMINATION

I have been the repeated victim of a hate crime, death threats, slander, harassment and bullying from a person who lives in my area. I have been dealing with these issues for five years. I want to live in peace, but it's hard to deal with the bullying behavior of this person.
I am asking for help to get a lawyer.
I am an educator who wants everyone to be treated with dignity, respect and moral character. I have endured years of bullying, harassment and falsehoods.
The woman has been sending porn material to my home with racial slurs on the address label.  I want to be able to live in my area in a peaceful manner without being called out my name with the use of homosexual slurs and racial slurs.  I have had enough of the torture that I want to hire a lawyer to file for a harassment case.
I never want anyone to live in the situation like I have endured. It has been hard and scary. I have called the police, but things turn deaf ear and I really want something done.

Whistle blower victimized and wrongfully dismissed

Hello everyone.
I am a former development aid worker. I am currently involved in a court case to rectify my wrongful dismissal. I worked for a large children's Non-Government Organization (NGO - which has to remain anonymous due to court proceedings) and whilst I was working there, I reported a large amount of bullying, health and safety issues, and HR problems.
This not only affected me but many people in our office including expatriate and local workers. Nothing was done to protect any of us and on one occasion, someone’s health was seriously risked because of this bullying. I was warned by a few people that if I complained I would be fired; I did not believe them as I trusted the organization given that they work in child protection.
After making the complaint formal, I was subsequently fired and told I was not fit for the organization. This all happened before any investigation happened and I was heavily victimized in the weeks running up to my dismissal. I have since learned I was not the first person to be fired for reporting bullying in the organization.
The irony is that whilst I was working there, I was asked to develop a fundraising proposal for a project to train children on how to act as whistle blowers for bullying behavior.
The irony is clear. When I found myself in a whistle blowing situation, I was first victimized and then fired; there was no support, no protection, and no investigation. It was only after I was fired that they investigated the matter, and unsurprisingly, their investigation report claimed (incorrectly) that no bullying had occurred.
Luckily, I do not need very much for the legal fees as my lawyer has taken on my case pro bono as he strongly believes in my case. Without his help, I could not have afforded to take this any further. Unfortunately, I do still need some help with costs. I am fundraising for the court application fees and the fees I will need to pay a barrister to represent me in court, who cannot work pro bono.
I have been told at times to let this case go as the costs, stress, and psychological fatigue of going to court is extremely high; and this is true. Prior to this court case, the case was presented at an employment tribunal and I used all of my savings to get through that part of the case. I was not able to go straight to court without having gone through that legal process and I chose to hire a lawyer for that stage. I have not been able to get a job since this all happened in the first few months of this year as I have been left with severe depression from all of this. This should not happen after working for a children’s organization.
So why am I not letting this go? Well it is simple. The organization I worked for aims to protect children. It cannot claim to do this if it cannot protect its own staff from bullying within the organization. If this were a private company that had behaved this way, then perhaps I would have let this go. But this is an organization that actively aims to protect children. Behaving like this towards their staff is morally wrong; it is injustice. This should not be happening in any organization, and it is unbelievable that it can happen in a Children's organization. And this cannot happen again. Hopefully after this case, the organization will make the right changes to stop this from happening again. As I said, this should not be happening and I hope that my actions will help prevent this from happening to other people in the future.
Thank you in advance to anyone who can help with this. In a perfect world, legal costs would not be so prohibitive in searching out for justice. In this imperfect yet wonderful world, it is organizations like fundedjustice.com and people like you, who help on here that rectify this.

Life In Prison For A Fist Fight?

My brother Chris was recently involved in a fight with a roommate.  Nobody was injured, but the police have arrested him on charges of 1st degree aggravated kidnapping and assault. These charges carry penalties of five years to life in prison.
Chris deeply regrets getting involved in this incident. He has a bright future and just started a new business.
He doesn't deserve to have the justice system throw him away for a mistake in judgement where no actual harm was done to anyone (not a scratch on anyone involved).
The cost for competent legal representation is $5,000 up front.  This will cover all his hearings, interviews, negotiations with county attorneys, and investigative work related to witnesses.
Chris is currently being held on $50,000 cash bail at the Utah County Jail in Spanish Fork. Help us get Chris the legal help he needs so he can rebuild his life.
Thank you.

Bring the children home

My four most beautiful children were taken from me by my partner (now ex).
Only last week did she take my most beautiful children from me whilst I was out looking for work, she knew how long I would be gone and took my children, emptied the savings account and took most of our home.
I do not know where my children are, I am lost...........
I have no income and no money, looking hard for work to keep me going and the legal system is against me. I have to prove they better off at home than isolated with a mom that is an alcoholic and a bully.
I have never asked anything of anyone before, but now I beg for sake of my children and my love for my children aged 1, 3, 4 and nine; they are the most beautiful and sacred thing upon the face of this world.

I live for hope, some feel miss guided but my children need me and a life with choice and freedom!
