Justice for Little John

Jim Rose is a very humble man with very solid family values. The unthinkable has happened to his grandson; and to make matters worse, he is now getting the run around from the Department of Human Services, which of course is supposed to be there to keep children safe.
In July 2015, Little John was injured so severely he actually coded and had to be revived. The medical consequences of his injury include the following: 50 cm of his bowels removed; blunt force trauma, he coded once, has had three surgeries and at the time of the injury, drugs were found in his system. This 2 ½ year old has had to endure a feeding tube, colostomy bag, and had to be heavily medicated for three weeks to allow his body to heal. Now that he is recovering, he has had to re-learn how to walk, talk, and even eat.
Injured, hospitalized, and through recovery, this young child has been without the physical presence and love from his family. As of October 2015, the family has only been allowed to visit Little John once. DHS has physical custody of Little John as of right now, despite the family’s daily pleas to let him come home.
The fault of Little John’s injuries lies in the hands of another human, yet the Clinton, Iowa Police Department has made no arrests. There has been zero justice for this family as of yet. The family not only wants justice for their grandson, but they want him out of DHS custody and into the custody of his loving and capable family’s home. They need your help.
Since July, Jim Rose and his family have been fighting this fight alone, and they no longer can. Jim and his family have reached out to DHS, CPS, the police department and investigators. They have tried contacting media representatives and have even created a Facebook Group to help aid in their efforts. They have reached a point now where they need legal representation to help get Little John into his family’s custody. Jim has found an attorney who will take the case but finances are preventing that from happening immediately. That is what this campaign is here to help with. The Rose family has this campaign as a central location for donations to hire legal representation to find justice for Little John, and to bring him home to his family. Any donations of any amount are a blessing and the family is full of gratitude for your kindness.
