Help Protect Our 2nd Amendment Right and Fight Corruption!

My home was broken into on August 14, 2015. The men, one carrying a gun, refused to leave my property. With my handgun in my hand, I told them to leave or I would shoot them.  Finally, they left! The police arrived 17 Minutes after my 911 call. Both men had long criminal histories, but were not cited or arrested for crimes they committed on August 14! They were however cited for violations of court orders from prior charges/sentencing/parole.

I, however, was arrested for felony menacing! When did protecting yourself, your family, and your property become a crime? Only in Douglas County evidently! I'm not accepting a plea to a lesser charge just to end it. I want to stand up for everyone's rights to protect our families, our property, and ourselves. By taking this to trial, it is showing everyone that we will not give up our 2nd Amendment Rights and corruption in a sheriff's department will not be tolerated.

Help Rehabilitate a Veteran

Joshua Wofford is a good-hearted kid that went off to serve his country and didn’t come back quite the same.  Although he came back physically intact, the two tours in Iraq and one tour in Afghanistan really took a mental toll on him.  After his enlistment was done and received an honorable discharge, Josh attempted to adjust to civilian life.  He was doing good and even going to school at Santa Monica College, but he couldn’t shake some of the things he saw abroad.

As hard as he tried, the gunshots, the roadside bombs, the unspeakable realities of war kept haunting him.  Unfortunately, Josh fell to a familiar coping mechanism in the form of alcohol.  On one late night during one of the fits, Josh was walking across a street and was almost hit by car.  This likely enraged Josh, because he had been hit as a pedestrian once before on the same street and the last person just took off.  Well, as the allegations go, Josh pounded the car and got confrontational with the driver.   Now, we all make mistakes and some of those mistakes come with consequences that we must face up to.  Even though nobody got hurt, for the last 7 months Josh has been facing up to that mistake.  However, I’m asking society to take into consideration that a good-hearted kid may have exhibited a skewed reactionary sense because of the service he gave to keep many more safe.

The good news is, Josh is eligible for an 18-month program that rehabilitates vets just like him.  The problem is the DA involved in Josh's case keeps delaying his entry into the program and he continues to be held in a cell despite seven monthly pretrial appearances.   We are asking for ANY donation, even if all you have is a buck to give, 100% of it will go to the fees involved towards getting Josh out and on track to his rehabilitation.   We are also seeking any kind of advice, whether it be educational, supportive or legal....anything that can assist in this matter, so please feel free to provide us your feedback and share this in the hopes that someone you know may be able to help a soldier find his way home.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." ~MLK

I am facing three criminal charges for exercising my first amendment right and speaking out against police misconduct towards a 67 year old disabled woman, during a left turn violation traffic stop in Parker, Arizona.
As a teacher, I do not have the funds to hire an attorney or the flexibility to have a "record".
In 1987, the U.S. Supreme Court gave us this wonderful quote:
"The freedom of individuals to verbally oppose or challenge police action without thereby risking arrest is one of the principal characteristics by which we distinguish a free nation from a police state."  [Texas vs. Hill, Houston, 1987]
Thank you in advance for helping me pay my legal fees and sharing my story!
In Gratitude,
Diesa ElĂ©onore
Full Story
On Saturday after noon, July 4th, 2015, I witnessed an officer in Parker, Arizona abuse his power, act aggressively, disrespectfully, and irresponsibly during a routine traffic stop, when a 67 year old disabled woman (let's call her Marie), alledgedly made an incorrect left turn into the Safeway parking lot.
Marie was driving 4 mph looking for a parking spot, as the officer tailgated behind (no lights or siren). Once Marie parked in a handicapped parking spot, the officer blocked her in from behind, and rushed to the driver's side of the parked vehicle, began furiously pounding on her window, yelling for her to exit the vehicle.
At this point, my friends and I, along with several other citizens, were trying to figure out what this woman had done to warrant the officer's aggressive response. Someone in the crowd even joked, "This woman must be wanted in 50 states."
When "Marie" exited her car, she looked bewildered, confused, and frightened. It appeared as if she had no idea why the officer had pulled her over.
Once the officer had her attention he yelled, “When an officer pulls you over, you stop!!”
Marie then humbly replied, “I’m sorry, I had no idea, I didn’t see you.”
The officer then summoned the crowd, pointing to all everyone in the parking lot, witnessing the situation. He yelled “everyone here (pointing to me and others) saw me trying to pull you over!!”
In unison, my friends and I, and other unknown witnesses argued back that we did not know what he was trying to do. We were not even certain he was a law enforcement officer.
I then stated directly to the officer, I didn't see any lights or hear a siren until the last few seconds. I didn't realize you were trying to pull her over. No one did."
The crowd's response upset the officer even more, and as a result, he became increasingly more hostile towards Marie.
As Marie stood outside the driver's side of her car, terrified, docile, and COMPLIANT. She posed no threat to the officer and yet, with his hand on his gun, the officer continued to belittle and scold her, yelling "Maybe if your windows were not tinted, you would have seen me! Now get behind the car!!”
In her defense, I ask. "Why does she have to go behind the car? Why can’t she stay inside her car? She should be able to stay where she feels safe! Is this legal??”
The officer points at me and says, “You need to step back and stay out of it!”
I move back about 10 meters, and continue to observe silently. I do not say anything else after this point. My sole intent was to observe and protect Marie, and ensure that she felt safe through this inappropriate ordeal.
Why would anyone yell at a disabled senior to get out of her car in 100 degree heat over an incorrect left turn?  What if her walking was impaired? This behavior was irresponsible and put a disabled senior in potential danger.
1-2 minutes after the officer brings Marie to the back of his vehicle, 5 – 8 back-up police vehicles arrive on scene.
I was confused why so many officers were involved but I was also relieved. My friends and I all agreed once we explained to these new officers on the scene what we witnessed, everything would be straightened out.
I then walked up to the officer closest to me, and began to explain what occurred during the traffic stop, namely the hostile, aggressive, wrongful treatment of a disabled senior.
Written words do not grasp the severity of the situation. I was fearful for human life.
The officer asks me if I would like to go talk with the sergeant, who had just arrived. I respond, "Yes, please!". I walk over to meet the sergeant and give him my testimony.
I naively trust the sergeant, and ask how I can file a complaint against the officer. This will come to be my biggest mistake, and the root of the charges filed against me.
The sergeant tells me that I am not allowed to file a complaint, only Marie can, and continues to highlight the fact that the officer has the right to order Marie out of the vehicle as part of his “investigation”.
I acknowledge the legal aspect to reserve that right, but the hostile attitude, intimidation tactics, and irresponsible choice to remove a disabled senior from her car in 100 degree heat is morally wrong. Period.
The sergeant walks away and huddles with the other officers. He returns talks to me again about the situation, and then asks me if I have ID on me. I did not, and I give him my full name and birthdate, thinking he is writing my information down as a witness.
The sergeant then follows with, “I am going to check if you have any warrants out for your arrest.”
It was not until THIS point that I realized that the sergeant was not interested in my side of the story, but only wanted to protect the officer's actions.
I voluntarily stayed on the scene, and then confided in the sergeant to give my statement of what happened, all this time believing that I am being a good Samaritan. I was always free to go, neither the officer or the sergeant said I was being held.
The sergeant walks away to look up my name and birthday in the system. When he returns, he states that I am getting a ticket for “failure to comply with a police officer,” a criminal charge class 2 misdemeanor.
This happened at least 45 minutes after the initial 3 minute traffic stop. I am beyond shocked.  As a concerned citizen, I confide in a police sergeant about an injustice that I witnessed, and instead the investigation turns on me.
From that point, the sergeant manipulated conversations, was overly rude, twisted words around, would not allow Marie or myself to explain what happened, and pushed his own self-serving agenda .
2 hours later, in 100 degree heat, with no water, and no shade... my ticket was issued to me.
The next week, Marie, her passenger, and myself, all filed formal complaints against the officer through the Sheriff's Department.
4 weeks after the complaints were filed, the Sheriff's Department informed me that they had motioned for my charges to be dropped. However, instead, I later received mail with two additional criminal charges, "hindering prosecution in the 2nd degree" and "harassment".
The past 3 months have been a stressful, tumultous, emotional rollercoaster. I am grateful to have found a good legal team to bring justice to this ordeal. Thank you all again for taking the time to hear my story and support my case.

Keep Tremayne Free

Tremayne’s Story:
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read about our crowdfund campaign. This campaign is on behalf of a young man named Tremayne, a promising 17 year old who lives in suburban New England. Tremayne is potentially facing trial as an adult for crimes he has always maintained he did not commit, and was possibly even deliberately set up in retaliation for his response to a school incident.

Tremayne’s family believes that the entire episode stems from a bullying incident involving his younger sister. She was repeatedly harassed and ridiculed to the point of Tremayne finally confronting her tormentor and the confrontation turned physical.

Not long thereafter, a group of girls, believed to be friends of the bully started flirting with Tremayne, attempting to put him in compromising situations. School rumors indicate that the bully asked them to set him up. This soon resulted in sexual misconduct charges. Immediately after this, criminal charges against Tremayne were filed.

Even a school staffer said that this was blown way out of proportion. To add intrigue to the case, one of the girls may have been caught years prior, making similar accusations against another individual.

Tremayne has no criminal history and is immediately recognizable by anyone who meets him as an exceptionally well-mannered, gentle and considerate young man. He is a gifted athlete and has won medals in track and field and has also played football for his high school. He loves his family and is very protective of them.

Tremayne attends a school with a very diverse student body and is very popular with classmates of all backgrounds due to his warm and friendly nature. He’s the kind of kid that girls’ parents would approve of taking their daughter out. He’s that pleasant.

Impact:

Tremayne had a private attorney, but the representation provided was poor at best and bordered on incompetent. Tremayne needs help raising money for a zealous legal defense so that he doesn’t wind up being another railroaded statistic, being forced to plea bargain which he refuses to do. If necessary, he wants to go to trial in order to defend himself against his accusers whose stories he feels will fall apart under vigorous examination.

Throughout this time, Tremayne has been suspended from school and unable to participate in the activities that he loves. As one can imagine, this is a very trying time for him and his family who are emotionally drained at this point in time.

Help Get Answers for the Hammonds

An unarmed 19 year old man has been shot and killed by a police officer in South Carolina.Zachary Hammond was on a first date when the police blockaded his car, drew his weapon, and shot Zachary two times. Originally reported as a self-defense shooting, after two autopsies this case has now been ruled a homicide.
The officer involved, Lt. Mark Tiller is accused of removing something from his own patrol car and placing it in Hammond’s had after the shooting. When additional officers arrived, they celebrated the shooting along with Tiller. One of which, Officer Anthony Moon, purportedly raised Hammond’s hand and gave it a “celebratory high-five” according to a lawsuit that Zachary Hammond’s family has filed in Federal Court.
The 20 page Complaint describes in detail the events that unfolded on the night of Zachary’s death. “I’ll blow your F#&&*#@ head off,” were the last words heard by Zachary Hammond as Lt. Mark Tiller of the Seneca Police Department yelled into the open driver’s side window of Zachary’s 2002 Silver Honda Civic in the parking lot of a Hardee’s restaurant on July 26, 2015.” Also described in detail, the Complaint paints a step by step picture that shows the Zachary was not attempting to flee the scene, nor was he attempting to run down the officer, he was not armed or disobeying any commands.

Zachary’s parents want and deserve justice for their son. All net proceeds from this campaign will be sent directly to the attorney the family has hired, to help aid in their legal pursuit for justice.

Pancho's Bail Fund

Dear All,
Unfortunately, GiveForward just informed me today that they have to close down our campaign, as they do not endorse fundraising for legal fees.  They recommended this site as it is dedicated to crowdfunding for this purpose.  My sincere apologies - I should have looked into the site more closely, however in my haste to help Pancho I made the wrong decision.  The good news is that we raised $9,050 (net of fees) through the site, which I have in an account. I did ask them to refund our fees since they decided to close our site however, they were not able to accommodate as the fees cover the processing costs.  Please forward this new link to everyone you had previously sent to keep the momentum going.
Pancho has been wrongfully accused of a crime that he did not commit.  We need to help him get out of jail where he has been since September 4.  His court hearing is on 10/6 and his lawyer is speaking to both him and the accuser early next week where we are hopeful that the bail will be lowered to $15,000-$20,000 from $50,000 where it sits today.  We would like to be in a position to have $20,000 by then so we can move swiftly to bail him out.  He is greatly appreciative of everyone's well wishes and generosity so a big thanks to all the supporters to date.  Please feel free to reach out to me anytime for updates or anything else at 917.742.0988 or pennybtsekouras@aol.com
Below is a recap of all who have contributed:

Mistreated by the Police

My sister first had her child unlawfully taken by a judge in Newport, TN.  Judge Bell was indicted by Nashville for inappropriate judging however, the state somehow allowed him to still be a judge.  My Sister had her child taken from her 6 years ago and was told she would never get her child back.  She had no charges against her at this time, and her child went to live with our mother.  My sister lost her driver’s license due to lack of payment of back child support, which our mother said she didn't want at the time.  We went to child support court wondering why the father had none of the financial burden for the courts to tell us that if she didn't file then they couldn't file for her.
She lost her license and has since then been pulled over.  She has turned to substance abuse because she lost her insurance due to losing her child (for unjust reasons) She was pulled over and had narcotics in her possession.  She was out on a 30K bond and when she went for arraignment, the judge told her she was ineligible for a court appointed lawyer.  The police went through her car so much that they ended up taking pictures of themselves on her personal camera.  They also took her phone and when she went for arraignment, they charged her with tampering with evidence because she transferred her number to another phone.  She has no house phone and needs her phone.   Mind you, my sister is a server at Cracker barrel.  She makes $2.13 an hour plus tips.
She then was driving again because she has to make it to work to support herself, and she was pulled over.  The police officer asked if he could search her car both times and she did tell them no.  The second time she was pulled over, the cop told her to get out of her vehicle.  She had her seatbelt on and told him to hang on a second (there was a witness on the phone at the time this was happening and the cops did not realize it at the time).  She apparently didn't move fast enough he literally yanked her out of the car with her belt still on so it obviously left bruising on her.  Once he got her out of the car, he slung her around and down to the ground.  She is not the type to resist (obviously or she would have had this charge on her previously) she finally calmed down and the cops (Sevier County) put the handcuffs on her hand, not her wrists, so tight that it broke her thumb.  When I finally bonded her out, she was beat up from head to toe.  I believe this happened because a Sevier County officer abused one of my employees recently and she encountered the same treatment.  My employee did file a complaint through the department.  She went to court yesterday and received another charge and was told by the judge that if she wouldn't have filed that complaint that he probably would have dropped her charges.  However, she did and he was sentencing her to the max and the max fine.  Therefore, my sister has been afraid to file a complaint through them.  I also have another employee whom his girlfriend is a deaf mute and she is black.  She was pulled over in Sevier County for going to slow.  They took her phone for what reason I don't know and neither does she.  He sent out racial remarks to her boyfriend and a pic of his ...well down low.She has found a lawyer but he is 5K to start
