In 2011, my husband and I of 11 years divorced. I was at rehab at the time I was served papers, (yes, I made mistakes). I was not given the opportunity to be present at my divorce hearing. The judge ordered that i pay child support, provide medical insurance, but provided no visitation schedule to speak of. My children and I were very close. My ex husband was related to some officer's in our small county. Although he was abusive, both toward my children, and myself, he was granted custody! My promise to my dying grandmother was that I would be ok, and I would bring the children home. Now he has ZERO physical custody of any three of our kiddos. One (my ten year old daughter) he sent to live in COLORADO with his sister!!! Our two sons, as far as I am aware, live with my exs mother. Yet, I am expected to pay him! I am a full time student, and also I am metally disabled, suffering from PTSD, bi polar 2 disorder severe gen. Anxiety disorder, and severe depressive disorder, mostly brought on by those situation. I am also a US Army Veteran, honorably medically discharged. I suffer from pain incurred during training, and have endured double knee surgery. Thank you for reading my statement.
