Christopher was sentenced in January 2000 on three counts. He was mislead by his counsel which subsequently led to him receiving 53 years in total. He is NOT a rapist or a murderer his charges were eluding the police, possession of a firearm and assault with a deadly weapon.
He knows he did wrong and knew he would be serve some time. Christopher's counsel advised him not to take the plea of 9 - 12 1/2 years and go to trial. The severity of his punishment was an unjust 53 years.
Now after being in prison for 18 years he has been advised by a new counsel that he can go back to court for a review if this sentence was more severe than the plea!
