My name is Jessica. I am a working mother of two beautiful girls. Abigail just turned 13 and Emily is almost 10. I recently suspected my husband of almost 17 years, Mark, was having an affair. I went into his email account (that he knows I have the password to) to see if there was anything suspicious. Along with an email discussion with his mistress, I found a folder full of images in his Google Drive titled "real middle school boys". I collected all of the hard drives and flash drives in the house that I could find and brought them to the local authorities to make sure there wasn't anything bad on them. Unfortunately, my worst fears were confirmed.
Mark was arrested and has been charged with the full, maximum number of possession of child pornography counts that the law allows. He has confessed and is out on bail (which makes me very nervous to say the least). He will appear in court again in July. Please see the headline news at this link...
I am now on a single income with very little notice and I am seeking financial assistance to help cover some of the following expenses...
Legal fees
Divorce and child custody costs (along with fighting for enough assets to provide a similar lifestyle for my girls).
Protective measures (security system for our home and getting the locks changed)
Childcare expenses
Some living expenses until things settle down and the divorce assets are dispursed (If there is anything left after Mark pays all of his fines and legal fees.)
Turning in those drives was one of the hardest decisions I ever made. The actions of my soon to be ex-husband will forever change our lives. It is so hard to try to explain to my girls why this had to be done and why daddy did what he did. It will always taint the memories I have from the last 20 years. All I hope for now is to be able to make my girls' transition to our "new life" as smooth as possible. I want to be able to help them still do many of the things they are used to doing. I would love to be able to afford to keep them in our home or at the very least in their same school district.
I thank you so very much for any support you can help us with and please share with your family and friends. We all need to work together to protect all children. They all deserve to be protected from people and situations like this.
God bless, Jessica
