Please help Wendall Muhammad make bail.

Wendall Muhammad is a father of two sons, Yasin and Zahir, 18 and 12 years old. He practices Islam and runs his own taxi business. Wendall is a community activist, youth mentor, and the son of civil rights activists from the 60s, Lloyd Jackson and Cynthia Love. He provided security during the Million Man March on Washington.
Wendall is facing 11 years to life in prison for his first felony charge. The judge set his bail at a half million dollars. He is not a flight risk and we believe the bail has been set excessive and inappropriately high as a form of bias against men with Isamic names. In order for him to make bail he would have to raise 10% of the half million which is $50,000 plus 10% ($5,000) to cover the fundraising website fees.
**Update: We were able to get 4 co-signers on his bail amount which reduces the bail payment to $10,000 plus 10% ($1,000) to cover the fundraising website fees.**
Wendall is diagnosed with heart disease and colon cancer both of which can be fatal without immediate attention. His medical appointments are being set so far in the future at the LA County jail that he will not be able to seek assistance in a timely manner.
We are asking for assistance raising bail money so that Mr. Muhammad can seek proper medical attention for his chronic health issues, gather evidence for his case from outside of custody and have a fair shot at his trial.
With your help Wendall can make bail, seek immediate medical attention, continue researching his case on the street where he can get proper resources to defend himself at trial, spend much needed time with his 2 young sons and family, and be mentally and physically ready to stand trial in hopes of a victorious outcome.
