On June 3rd my parents boarded the plane to go to Thailand. A trip they make at least once a year. They had a layover in Japan and decided to sit down for lunch. In the midst of eating, they realized that their lunch bag had a box of bullets. She panicked and decided to throw it away with her lunch. M y parents could not trace their steps and figure out how that ended up in their luggage. They were always passive rule followers who stayed away from trouble. So they thought the right thing to do was to get rid of it.
Through security cameras, the authorities saw that my mother had thrown away the box. They confronted her and arrested her. She has been under maximum security and has not been allowed any visitors.
We are asking for donation to help hire my mother an attorney. Because of how severe the issue is, they are asking for a retaining fee of $15,000.
She has never been without family. She is alone and confused. She has never been in trouble. She is a humble Christian woman who serves others and finds joy in her grand-babies. We are just completely shocked that such a horrible thing has happened to her.
