MOVE RUSSET FORWARD

We ask that all concerned to make a donation to show appreciation for the attorneys that have worked pro bono in support of the homeowners.
Equally important is for every homeowner to show up on August 10th @ 9.00 a.m. at the A.A. county circuit court building in Annapolis where Judge Paul Goetzke will hold a hearing to determine whether the Russett BOD is in contempt of court, for not counting the votes during the June 15th retain/recall vote for board members Colin Sandy and Tim Reyburn.  After announcing that quorum was met, the election committee, under the guidance of the HOA attorney in a backroom, determined that every neighborhood, minus one, was ineligible to vote. This occurred after the vote count, which did remove both members.  This latest action is a continued attempt to disenfranchise the homeowners in Russett and allow the current board members to remain indefinitely. The BOD, minus two members, are now looking to implement new voting requirements that will negatively affect all homeowners at the September annual meeting.
While the list of complaints against Sandy and Reyburn are numerous, here are some across the board concerns:
  • Colin Sandy primary residence is in another subdivision and county
  • Colin Sandy has propped up his wife as a voting representative in Neighborhood 11A
  • Tim Reyburn pled guilty to 1) riding with a flashing light on his dashboard, and 2) intentionally altering his license plate to avoid detection (in some jurisdictions, those two combined equals impersonating a law official)
  • Tim Reyburn has propped up his wife as a voting representative in Neighborhood 11A
  •   Neither spouse attends board meetings or quarterly neighborhood representative meetings
These clear conflicts of interests – and criminal/deceptive behavior – apparently are not enough for three board members (Rob Newman, MJ Praetorius and Cora House) to put an end to this unfortunate situation end any legal action.  To the contrary, they have allowed the litigation – and spending of homeowners’ funds – to continue.
