Help Us Support Cody for Unjust Charges!

Hello my name is April, for 2 1/2 years my family and I have been the subject of endless taunting and harassment by the neighbors, until one evening a fight broke out and now my future son in law is facing a mountain of legal fees to aid in his legal defense.
On the evening of 9/11/16, after a daylong taunting by the neighbor onto anyone visiting my home, my daughter Katelyn (pregnant) and her  fiance  Cody arrived. Their arrival was met with the same taunting and provoking behavior exhibited throughout the day. He began his provoking behavior by flashing a flood into our face after they exited their vehicle, when this did not provoke the response he wanted, he began verbally attacking Katelyn.  The verbal attacks caused a banter between the two of them in an obvious attempt to provoke Cody into a confrontation. When this didn't work he became physical and assaulted Katelyn by shoving her twice.   At this point fearful for Katelyn's safety Cody came to her defense to shield her from further attack. Katelyn immediately  called 911, the police arrived and eventually Cody was arrested. The next day Cody was release and we believed no charges would be brought against him. About two weeks ago, we found out charges had been filed against him, it wasn't until this past Monday he was made aware of what those charges and allegations were.
The criminal system moves quickly, thus not allowing us the time to secure the funds necessary to aid in his legal defense and the hiring of a private attorney. We are asking for your assistance to help raise funds.  At this time, we need $15,000 by August 31st for the attorney with additional funds to cover the fees not covered by the retainer . Additionally, $15,000 will be needed once a trial date is given, along with additional expenses not covered in that amount. To give everyone an idea how quickly criminal cases move, 7/24 arrested, 8/7 status conference Cody received the charges , 8/8 Grand Jury  ruling , 8/14 preliminary hearing, 8/15 Arraignment hearing, 10/2 Pretrial conference, 10//31 Comprehensive pretrial conference. We need your help, h owever we recognize there are  people who would like to contribute  financially but can't so we ask  that you pray for our family & the other family involved.
I personally believe anyone placed in Cody's position would have done the same thing to protect their unborn child,  fiance, wife, girlfriend, sister, friend or mom. Please share his story to help him and his family.
Thank you, God bless you,
April
