Timothy Beasley is a loving father & soon-to-be step father to two beautiful daughters. He and his fiance, Nicole Mendenhall, share a home in Portland, Oregon. Timothy works hard to provide for his family. One of the jobs he's most proud of is being a security officer at a local bar, as he takes the safety and protection of others very seriously. It is a priority of Timothy's to motivate people to be the best that they can be and to build each other up. He will always stand up for the underdog and protect the weak with his life. I know this to be true because I've witnessed it time and time again.
None of this matters though to the broken system he now finds himself in. Accused of the horrible crimes of attempted murder, felony assault and robbery, Timothy was taken into custody, and taken away from his family. His bail is set at $750,000. Just like that, 4 lives were turned upside down all based upon circumstantial evidence.
Timothy and Nicole have a huge support system who stand by him, as well as countless individuals who are willing to testify to Timothy's character.
Sadly, Timothy's adolescent criminal history, as well as his skin color, are against him in this situation. He has been given a court appointed attorney who will be working on requesting a bond hearing to possibly reduce his bond. But in the meantime, funds are needed. Not only is Nicole, who was a stay at home mom, left without income for her and the girls, but she is responsible for coming up with bail.
Statistics show that the chances of winning a jury trial are significantly lower when the accused is left to sit in jail until the trial date, which can sometimes take YEARS! It is crucial for him to receive a fair trial and for him to be able to fight for justice.
There are many details to this case that aren't being shared. The media, like always, has portrayed Timothy as a monster. The ones closest to him know facts and they are willing to answer any questions they are able to answer. Right now we are asking for prayer, support and monetary contributions.
