Hi all!
We are currently working to raise funds to help Michael hire an attorney who can provide adequate legal representation. He has been assigned a Public Defender, but unfortunately, the Public Defender's office doesn't have the time or resources to properly represent Michael. The Public Defender assigned to Michael's case graduated from law school a year ago and has only been practicing law for 6 or 7 months.
THIS FUND IS NOT ABOUT MICHAEL'S GUILT/INNOCENCE OR TAKING SIDES IN THE SITUATION! We're merely trying to ensure that Michael has proper legal counsel.
Michael's legal fees could end up being as high as $5000, but at this time we are only trying to raise $2500 to hire an attorney. All donations made to this fund will be used solely for this purpose. Funds will NOT be used to post bail.
