The Story:
A Virginia man, who is also a legal vendor of Medicinal and Recreational Cannabis products in Washington DC, was arrested this past month for Distribution of Marijuana and Cannabis Oil. The Virginia man typically only participates in "Cannabis Shows" in Washingtin DC and "pop-up shops" in which he carries the cannabis products that are highly in demand not only for recreational use but also for therapeutic and medicinal uses.
***These shops are the only way the cannabis underground culture in DC can obtain the needed products UNTIL there is an official system in place that allows store front, taxation & sales.
An undercover police officer contacted the man's company phone number claming to be a patient in need. He also stated that he had no way to obtain transportation into DC yet was in dire need of the cannabis products. The undercover pleaded and literally begged to have the medicine delivered. Aganst better judgment (but at the time sympathising for the patients situation) he brought the oil that was to be used for medicinal use, to Northern Virginia, where he was arrested after the police smashed the front and back of his leased vehicle.
This was all for ONE OUNCE of marijuana along with A GRAM of cannabis oil.
An exhorbinant amount of TAX PAYER dollars was dedicated to this 'sting operation' and for what? There is NO "Big Fish Drug Dealer" all the marijuana used for medicine is 100% grown Legally buy DC residents who are allowed up tp 3 mature plants at one time. So where does this end?
There were no other drugs or illegal substances of any sort found.... and the VA man has already paid 3000 dollars for this error in his judgment. He did not think the police would set up someone who is doing nothing other than helping many that have fallen through the cracks in the system and need a bit of help.
"We help folks from all over the East Coast" he told me"... continiuing, "I feel like people are at the end of the road and out of options when they decide to go this route. Although, I notice that when they do finally give this shot, I hear more and more inspiring storis that make me a true believer in the medicinal uses of this plant!"
When asked, if he will stop helping his legitimate customes, those who have issues ranging from Epilepsy, Migrains, Insomnia, Anorexia, PTSD, and of course Cancer, what does he plan to do? After all there are the looming legal issues that is currently threatning years of his life if he doesnt recieve a decent lawyer!
His answer was, "I have to be more careful, but nobody should suffer because of this. Of course, I will continue to find a way to help the people who count on me."
We are business owners, who are in compliance with initiative 71 as it applies in DC... NOT DRUG DEALERS! We carry CBD oil for those who want the positive benifits without getting high Do drug dealers have stuff like that??"
**Officers in other areas should absolutly NOT be able to act as if they NEED medicinal Cannabis and luer good people across state border's for illegitimate sting operations that only end up destroying lives.
***This man is charged with Distribution of Marijuana 1oz (which puts him in the 'half oz to 5lbs' which is a Felony!) as well as Distribution of Canabis Oil (a second even more serious felony!) so if they "Threw the Book" at this guy its 1-10 yrs + 5-40 yrs!
Its not 1970 and Nixon is NOT in office... The "WAR ON DRUGS" was a failure of epic porportions! Lets not go backwards and send this man, entreprenuer, full time, single father, and actavist for YOUR rights to PRISON for an ounce of pot and some medicinal oil!
Please help by donating what you can!!! PLEASE! We need to start by looking for a decent attorney who is passionate about these cases. Its a huge deal when the people step up and say NO to these injustices!
